Hello,

a very good friend of my mother's has been diagnosed with a chronic and degenerative disease of the nervous system that results in severe muscle pain and severe bouts of depression. the doctors have basically said that all they can do is recommend pain relievers and counseling. I would like to recommend an iyengar yoga teacher who lives in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area (North Carolina) who has a higher level certification and who has experience or expertise in theraputic yoga. Does any one know someone who meets these critieria? I would greatly appreciate any tips!

I am not specifically familiar with teachers in North Carolina, but there are directories of certified Iyengar teachers at the following sites:
