weight training and yogasanas Can't Post

does weight training do harm for our body? does weight training benefits for our body? why some yoga practitioners and indian yogis
says that going to gymnasium is bad for health and in old age these weight training habits of youth become dangerous? does the weight training has adverse effects on digestion?
and why they says that doing yoga and weight training both affects the body in adverse and one should only do either of them?
can a perrson do surya namaskar prior to a weight training schedule to get proper warm up?
Please respond and hoping opinions from all persons from diverse fields especially from yoga practitioners too.
thank you

Re: weight training and yogasanas [In reply to] Can't Post

Hello Smile
Before yoga ( i began practice 10 years ago) , i did a lot of weight training. well, it was a little more difficult when i changed my habits and stop going to the gym, because muscles make asanas more challenging. and now? well, i practice swimming 4 times a week (including butterfly swim) and i practice twice a week push ups and abdominal crunches. i practice yoga 10h/week , and doing some muscle training is not bad at all, i will even say that it is relaxing (tkv desikachar, famous yoga teacher, recommend to do some muscle training when your muscles feel tired to stretch...); but forget about heavy weight training Shocked , do some more natural stuff with your body only (pushups, crunches, etc...).
have a nice training Smile
