Hi Emily, I have this book and it certainly has it's value, but it really depends what you are looking for. It is very much a book targeted at beginners, with the basic details given for the poses that are in the preliminary course taught in Pune. It covers basic standing poses, sitting poses, forward bends, side bends, inversions, abdominal asanas, backward extension (easier backbends), sun salutation, and restorative asanas. It does not give practice sequences, it seems more like the whole book itself could be follwed as one practice session. I am finding it valuable as a guide as I start introducing Iyengar yoga to others. It is 121 pages, coil bound, line drawings. Lianne
