Teaching to kids with PKU Can't Post

Hi,
I am planning a 1-hr yoga workshop for a group of teen boys diagnosed and being treated for PKU. Does anyone have any experience teaching yoga to people with PKU and any tips to share? Any experience with PKU populations in general would be helpful, like lifestyle, life issues, etc. I am told that they are all functioning OK. It sounds like this will be the first yoga class any of the boys have taken.
Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe
these links may not help your class plan but give you some idea of research studies about the behavioural patterns having discontinued the strict diets from PKU programms.

I am studying a little genetics at the moment and the enzyme deficiency such as PKU that cause the phenylalanine, this can be toxic to the central nervous system but not every child has this to a high level.

Very generlised genetic studies say that 1 in every 4 pregnancies may carry the PKU characteristic in some level or form.

have a pleasant yoga class
