Steel Folding Chairs Can't Post

I read the article, Taking the Back Out of a Steel Chair by Steve O'Connor (5 September 2003)
A detailed description of how to take the back out of a steel chair in order to make it useable as a prop.

My question is... Is there an online resource that you can direct me to where perhaps I can order the "ideal" chair.

I have looked at places such as office depot and staples in my area (san francisco, california) but the chairs there did not seem appropriate as the metal folding chairs seemed to be short with wide seats or didn't have the reinforcers across the legs...Go figure!

If anyone can direct me to a place in San Francisco or a website where I can order an 'inexpensive' chair, I would appreciate it.

Best,

Scott

Hey Blumin,
I've tried to find those chairs at thrift stores. I've been told by thrift store workers that those chairs are sold quickly so you'd have to regularly stop in. I'd recommend Thrift Town on Mission.
Another option to keep is to ask the manager/owner at your local, neighborhood yoga studio if they have any that they can sell to you or if you could order one through them from their supplier. Have you been to the Yoga Loft on Divisidero? Ask Meg or Jane. They're the best!
Good luck.
