Feelings Can't Post

Hello everybody!
Last weekend I was lucky to attend to a workshop with Faeq Biria here in Sweden and during the two days of intense and wonderful practice and learning I sometimes experienced very strong feelings. It is difficult to put those feelings in words, but i was like love, a wonderful, strong and overwhelming love. Tears came to my eyes.
Have any of you feel this? What is this? And why? So amazing and god!
I wasn't bad at all, on the contrary! And in a peculiar way, this feelings have a permanent echo inside me, so far... Blush.
Peace, love and nice practicing for everyone of you!
Silvia.

I'll bet that your heart was waiting a long time to swell and burst with divine love. The perfect combination of circumstances arose and BANG!

Swelling, swelling swelling . . . BURSTING!

Re: Feelings [In reply to] Can't Post

Hello Brian!
Yes, I guess it was something like that. Some weeks had past and still I feel the echoes of that weekend. I feel it during my practice and in my life. No big changes, but still everything has changed a little! Understanding concepts like divine love is dificult I guess! Wink One reads about such things, and try to understand with the intellect. Then something happens and... what a surprise!
I enjoy the benefits of yoga in my body, but is towards this unknown experiences I try to go by the path of practice. Such a happiness to be a beginner!
I guess everybody feels such feelings and it is kind of too normal to chat about it... but it is also beautiful, so I chat about it anyway!
I remember San Juan de la Cruz: For going towards what you don't know, go through what you don't know! (I hope I don't translate too bad from Spanish!) As I experience it, yoga is a mysterious path to an unknown place.
Thanks for your answer!
Silvia.

Kapha-sattvic feelings of love [In reply to] Can't Post

My yoga teacher noted in this evenings class how different sequences have different effects within our being.
For instance the quietness in the poses that we did last week that ended with pranayama but compared to the indepth standing asanas and backbends this week whereby the savasana at the end was more alert.

I guess what idea I am trying to weave is that we tap into something within our being each time we practise whether that be an subconcious emotion or supersubconcious area that is deep within us.

The Ayurvedic text discusses our electrical impulses (energy) that we are ultimately working with whilst in our asanas which are having a physical effect within us and our emotions.
This all being for the better im sure particularly when your feeling a universal love which comes from Kapha-earth medium-water, that which holds things together and gives substance + support in its sattvic(harmonious) love, which is much more pleasant than Rajastic(disturbed) or Tamastic(darkened).

devotional prayers of thanks to our Guruji.
peace, love and fruitful practise to all.
