Wish to study in India this winter

I am hoping to travel to India in December or January to study Iyengar yoga for 3 or 4 weeks, preferably in the Kerala region. I have looked at a range of different sites but the information is not always that clear and I would really appreciate any tips from anyone who has perhaps done something similar and could pass on any tips. Thanks!
